The Blinded Relationship

One day the rainbows were gone

From the heart’s treasure of memoirs

The babyhood fading away leaving her alone

Seizing her tight into a knot of poignant coir

Bleeding knees, running noses and merry shopping sprees

Missing ribbons, socks, belt and worse yet punctured tyres

All was well until they were gracefully big like birch trees

Priorities grew in branches stronger than fire

Into each of their safe havens conveniently they hide

And never saw each other pretending to be  blind!!!
